1st: David and Sugar (parents, grandparents, and great grandparents of our Kihei Rent A Car Family) are healthy and safe in tiny little Hana town. The Kupuna in Hana are especially taken care of, and even more so now with the Coronavirus. Currently, the National Guard has check points set up so only residents and essential services enter Hana. With Sugar’s 35 chickens, her gigantic veggie garden, and their hundreds of apple banana trees, they are livin’ off the land and lovin’ it!
2nd: This little fire cracker: Frankie Kay! She loves to party with her daddy. Since our whole staff is furloughed until business picks up, Ryan has been blessed to spend a lot of time with his 4 month old daughter. They have formed a beautiful bond, and their mutual love radiates out like the grandest firework!
3rd: Our cat colony at Kihei Rent A Car is doing well. Covid has us opening at 9am instead of 7am. It took our 25+ cats a few weeks to adjust to being fed at 9am. They are the best fed feral cats on the island, and a bit spoiled. Their bodies are strong and their coats shine. All but Lucy. And we are so grateful for Lucy! She is her own authentic self, motor oil, fleas and all.
4th: Dean’s talents and skills. He made this attractive, sturdy, practical counter-top shield for us. When Dean sees a need, Dean is on it. You would normally find him in the garage fixing cars. With most of our cars parked, Dean has been able to tackle some of the other projects around the shop. He is an enormous asset to Kihei Rent A Car and goes above and beyond his call of duty. His positive attitude is a true gift. We are all so grateful for him!
