A decade ago Mike Licos joined the Kihei Rent A Car family. Recently we featured him in a blog when he got married to his long time sweetheart Richel. Now it’s time for Mike to begin his next chapter.
Today is Mike’s last day working at Kihei Rent A Car. He is joining his bride on the island of Oahu, where she is currently working and living. He will always be a part of the KRAC family.
Mike began working at Kihei Rent A Car when he was in his early 20s. At that time his younger brother Greg worked here also. Both of those Licos boys always had the brightest smiles on the lot! The Licos family is a happy one, that’s for sure. Most pictures of Mike reveal his bright, friendly smile.
Working with mostly women, Mike has always been very patient and gotten along with everyone. He didn’t mind being told what to do by at least a few aunties. He brought his positive attitude to his workplace consistently. He also brought his playfulness to work.
We will miss hearing his childish giggles and funny noises, as well as watching him practice his trending dance moves. Our car rental customers will miss his happy greetings at the airport and his friendly and helpful advice about what to do on the island.
With this move to another island, Mike will now become a Kihei Rent A Car customer. This makes him a double family member since our employees and our customers all make up the amazing KRAC family.
We will miss having Mike around on a regular basis, but we are grateful that we will still see him when he comes to visit Maui. We are also grateful for being able to watch Mike grow from a punky 20-something to a responsible young husband. Oh how they grow up so quickly.
Best wishes to Mike Licos as he begins his next chapter in life. It’s been a fantastic ten years. Mahalo for your excellent customer service and warm friendship Mike. A hui hou!
