You would think after working 40 plus hours at Kihei Rent A Car during the week, a person would be kind of sick of cars.
Well, not Mike, Marj or Dean. As a matter of fact, Mike and Marj just came in 1st and 2nd this past weekend at Paradise Speedway. They dominated the 4 cylinder bomber class. Dean fixed their flat tire and broken engine after the first round so that Mike ended up the winner with Marj right behind him in second.

Mike Delacruz is the night manager at Kihei Rent A Car. Marj and Dean are the head mechanics. Dave and Sugar Hunkins (in the bottom picture) are the Kihei Rent A Car racing teams’ greatest fans. Through dust, wind, rain and delays, Dave and Sugar sip coffee patiently while cheering on their favorite drivers.
The cars Mike and Marj drive at the circle track are recycled wrecked Nissan Sentras from the car rental fleet. They take out all the glass and safety proof the cars but keep the 4 cylinder engines in. The drivers pick a theme and Dean paints the cars and adds accessories for the finishing touch. Mikey has the M&M car and Marj has the Monster car. The employees at Kihei Rent A Car love that Mikey shares his love of M&Ms with everyone since there’s always a bag laying around the counter for all to try.
